The season kicked off with the visit of a very well organised and drilled Old Wheats to Battlestead Croft.
After an even opening 20 minutes Old Wheats started to pull away and by the end of the morning were convincing and worthy winners 12-43.
Individual errors, poor decision making and a lack of a kicking game were to be Burton's downfall and plenty to work on for the players and coaching team with a league fixture against Wolverhampton in two weeks time.
Team captain, Chizza, was well measured in his summary of the game which can be viewed below.
Next up for the boys is the Coventry Festival where they will do battle against some of the elite clubs in the Midlands so improvements will be needed quickly if they are to compete and make in impact.
